Math Disabilities

Math disabilities can be quite varied. They may occur with a reading disability, or without. Difficulties may arise from problems processing the language associated with mathematics. Others may stem from visual spatial confusion, while still others may arise from difficulty remembering math facts, rules or procedures.

Math disabilities are relatively rare compared to reading disabilities.
