Topic: brief summary of content, identifying subjects and themes in the submitted manuscript
Article Type: a manuscript's form should be identified according to a list of article types, which include:
- Research review: a summary report of a published research study. It should include a description of the objectives, method, results and source of study. It should also include comments about the design of the study and/or the results.
- Research study: peer reviewed: a study published in a journal where manuscripts have been approved by a committee of peers for validity of design, results and conclusions
- Research study: not peer reviewed: an unpublished study or study published in a journal that does not require manuscripts to be reviewed by a committee of peers for validity of design, results and conclusions.
- Case Study: the use of a specific case as an example to illustrate a specified topic
- Literature Review: a report which identifies and summarizes research studies and articles considered important to a specified topic
- Classroom supports: an article focusing on strategies, resources and technologies that can be used in the delivery of classroom instruction
- Technical report: a description of the design, performance and value of classroom based technologies, either hardware or software
- Editorial point of view: the beliefs and values of the author regarding specified topic
- Personal Experience: first person stories about dealing with learning disabilities or related conditions
- Definitions: evidence supported, symptom based descriptions of disorders
- General Information: explanations and suggestions regarding specified topics, based on published material and/or professional experience
Audience: intended reader of submitted manuscript
Submitter: the person(s) who wrote the submitted manuscript or who submitted the manuscript with permission of the author
Author: the person(s) responsible for the original text, study or concept that is being quoted by the submitter
Conference:a meeting of people to hear presentations regarding a specified area of interest
Workshop: : training session specific to one topic or field of study
