How to view, submit, and edit Events:
To view the current list of events that have been posted to the LDRC community calendar, click on the text link "Events" in the navigation menu on the right-hand side of each page.
The Community Events Calendar displays all LD events for the current month, but members can view and add events for every month up to and including the year 2005. The default setting lists all LD events across Canada, but members can restrict their search to a specific city, province/state, and country. Text links allow members to advance to next month's list of events or view the previous month's calendar quickly and easily.
To view all events scheduled for a particular day, click on the date or click on a specific title to view the details of an individual event. When viewing an event, members have the option of adding it to their Personal Calendar via a convenient text link at the bottom of the event's description. Add Community Event: (You must be a member to add events)
This link enables members to add an event of their own to the LDRC Community Events calendar. Adding an event is a four-part process. Step 1 collects the start and end date information, the event name and a brief description, contact information (optional) and a series of checkboxes to indicate the topic(s), topic type(s), and target group(s) for this particular event. Step 2, 3, and 4 identifies the country, province/state, and city in which the event is being held.
View All Events: This link enables visitors to select and view detailed descriptions of all events for a particular month in a single page format. Additional links on the page allow visitors to view next year's list of event or revisit the previous calendar year. Once again, members have the option of adding these events to their Personal Calendar.
