Becoming a Member

The purpose of this web site is to allow members of the online resource community to exchange information, communicate with each other, and expand their knowledge base. In order to become a member, you must first agree to the terms of the following End-User Service Agreement which governs copyright, privacy and other aspects of the user-LDRC relationship.

Membership in the online community is free of charge. Once you are a member, in addition to accessing the general information available on the web site, you may also submit material, chat or communicate with other members and post or review upcoming events in the learning disabilities community. Should you choose to submit an article, project outline, an event, or directory information, you must first agree to the terms of the Contributor Agreement which provides the rules applicable to Contributors, their materials and the LDRC web site.

END-USER SERVICE AGREEMENT

This Agreement governs your use of the Learning Disabilities Resource Community (LDRC) web site. By selecting "Yes, I accept the End-User Service Agreement", you agree to abide by and be bound by the following terms and conditions:

Disclaimers

1. I acknowledge that the information appearing on the web site is provided by the LDRC, other learning disability organizations and a wide variety of Contributors, and that, although the LDRC reviews contributed information to ensure that it is relevant and in the proper format before posting it, the LDRC disclaims all responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of said information.
2. I agree that neither the LDRC its sponsors or partners, nor the Contributors shall have any responsibility for any harm, claim or damages resulting from the interpretation of, reliance on, or other use of information found on this web site, and that if I choose to make any decisions or take any actions based on said information, I take full responsibility for such decisions and/or actions.
3. I acknowledge that the LDRC does not endorse any of the viewpoints or opinions expressed by the Contributors to the web site, nor any of the viewpoints or opinions found on any of the web sites linked to the LDRC web site.
4. I acknowledge that the information and general contents of the web site are not intended to be a substitute for the advice or assessment of a qualified medical practitioner or other specialist in the area of learning disabilities.
5. I acknowledge that because of the dynamic nature of the Internet, the LDRC cannot guarantee that information stored on or accessible from the web site will always be available. The LDRC reserves the right to perform maintenance (which may result in suspension of services) on its web server when required. The LDRC shall have no responsibility should this web site become unavailable at any time, for any reason.
6. I acknowledge that the LDRC also reserves the right to use contributions from members as it sees fit within the context of advancing the public understanding of learning disabilities.

7. I agree not to reproduce, display or distribute any information, data, photographs or images contained on the LDRC web site, including all information contributed from outside sources, whether or not for profit, without the express consent of the both the author and the LDRC.
8. I agree that I may make a single copy of said information, data, photographs or images for personal use only.

Privacy

9. I agree that the LDRC may collect and store my personal information, including my login name, email address, password, name, affiliation and web site information for the purpose of facilitating my access to and use of the LDRC web site, and for internal administrative purposes in accordance with the LDRC Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
