Project Summary

Project Title:

The Multiple Intelligence Inventory

Topics:
* Adaptation
* Instruction
* Self Help
* Skill Development
* Styles

Summary:

NEW!

The Multiple Intelligence Inventory is based on the original work by Howard Gardner in the 1980s. Since he began his work the idea of “multiple intelligences” has come to have a significant affect on the thinking of many researchers and educators. An additional "Intelligence" has been added to the inventory, courtesy of Gary Harms, which addresses styles and abilities associated with awareness of ones surroundings, physics, and an understanding of the “nature of things”.

Purpose/Objective:

The Multiple Intelligence Inventory can be used as a component in an instructional module on multiple intelligences, providing students with instant feedback, and the tools to explore how multiple intelligences vary from person to person.

I agree with my results. It seems to be the result of Tacktile learning for me every time I take one of these studies.

Posted by: mfajardo, on Monday, October 5, 2009 - 22:35

I definitely agree with the results to the test. I learned that I learn better kinesthetic which is true because I do learn better and faster hands on.

I would like to take the multiple intelligent test on your website. I was trying to take that test to find out what kind of learner I am. Whether I am an linguistic learner or logical learner, etc. Please let me know where I can find the test.

Posted by: greg, on Friday, August 4, 2006 - 13:47

SCORING THE MI INVENTORY: download the printable version to see the items in each category. Add up the total of all items in each category. Done!

Posted by: greg, on Friday, August 4, 2006 - 13:44

Everyone who asked how to access the inventory, does the link Multiple Intelligence Inventory not work. Normally I'd dismiss a single such report, but since there's a bunch maybe there is a problem. At any rate I am unable to "not" access the inventory by click the link above.

Posted by: jennleiby, on Thursday, July 27, 2006 - 10:04

How do I SCORE the print versions of the inventory, specifically the Spanish-language version? Please help!

Hello Sabet
This inventory is intended for a teen or adult audience, and is likely to be affected by cultural differences. It is not dependant on sex or handedness. Our collected data confirms this. You will need to decide if the items of the inventory are age and culturally approriate for the group you have taking the inventory.

Posted by: hup, on Thursday, June 5, 2003 - 21:19

Hi. I'd like to post this for my other classmates in NATSCA2 (DLSU-CSB) that this is the assigned test that our teacher gave to us. Good luck guys!

Because we were given an incorrect URL (although it is similar): http://www.ldrc.ca/projects/inventory/miinventory.php

Posted by: sabet, on Sunday, April 13, 2003 - 17:08

Hi Greg,
I would like to know whether MI inventory is dependent on age, sex, left/right handed or in general culture? Yet I know each person is different, I need to know that MI inventory showa us an acceptable measuring scale or not. Thank you
Sabet Ay

A wonderfull test. I have read about mulitple intelligence for years but nerver found a good test. But this one is. I just got one question. Have enybody heard about a 9 intelligence that is called "Spiritual intelligece"? If you have or know enybody that have, send me a mail.

Posted by: linda_mo, on Friday, November 22, 2002 - 21:48

You need to make the lines in the stencil test bigger and the colors more distinct. Some of us don't have the top of the line graphics and it's impossible to tell. Also, something to show which white stencil is on top would be nice. If a stencil doesn't show, you shouldn't say we're wrong if we don't know it's there. This isn't a psychic abilities test, is it? I don't like being wrong even if the best I can do is guess.

Hello JoAnn
Multiple Intelligence Inventory is not exactly the best name for an instrument like this. It is more of a learning styles inventory than an intelligence inventory. Think of the intelligences as styles. I would like to change the name but it has become a standard name

thx for pointing out the issue

greg

Posted by: orangecat, on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 18:59

I am wondering why you would have an MI survey since Howard Gardiner states very clearly that intellignece cannot be measured and he supports none of the measusing instruments that have been created.
