Why become a Member?

Membership with the LDRC has many benefits over and above those of a casual user of the site.

Members have access to a variety of knowledge building and communication tools.

Members may:

  • View profiles, chat, and send messages with Who's On.
  • Add articles, projects, events, or directory listings.
  • Edit or delete articles, projects, events, or directory listings with MyLDRC.
  • Keep track of personal activities and community events with their personal Calendar.
  • Bookmark articles, projects, events, directory listings, and discussion threads.
  • Edit their personal profile and customize their browsing preferences.
  • Choose to remain anonymous.

There's more:

Member's contribute to the public understand of learning disabilities. There are many ways to contribute:

  • Using the knowledge building tools to contribute a paper, a story, an experience, a project, an opinion, an activity, or any "Article of Knowledge".
  • Asking a question on the Board. Chances are someone else has that same question.
  • Answering a question on the Board. If you answer the question for one person, you will be answering that question for many.
  • Reading about what others are doing, learning, teaching, or studying, and making a new contact or friend.
  • Telling a friend about the LDRC. It's your community, and friends are what make a community.
